Alpha Course

Ever wondered what life is all about? Alpha is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in an informal and relaxed environment. Alpha courses have been attended by over 2 million people in the UK and 11 million worldwide (see "www.uk.alpha.org").

The 9 week course will run here from 11th May on Sunday evenings, starting at 6 p.m. with a buffet tea. We then look at a DVD presentation by Nicky Gumbel on topics such as ‘Who is Jesus?’, ‘How can we have faith?’, ‘How can I resist evil?’, followed by discussion over coffee. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile! The only cost is your time.

May 11	‘Who is Jesus?’
May 18	‘Why did Jesus die?’
May 25	‘How can we have faith?’
June 1	‘Why and how do I pray?’
June 8	‘Why and how should I read the Bible?’
June 15	‘How does god guide us?’
June 22	‘How can I resist evil?’
June 29	‘Why and how should I tell others?’
July 6	'Does God heal today?'

As part of the course we are also planning an Away Day on Saturday 14 June for teaching on the Holy Spirit including: ‘Who is the Holy Spirit?’, ‘What does the Holy Spirit do?’, ‘How can I be filled with the Holy Spirit?
